Ashok Hotel presents - A dance performance to promote young women artists April 11, 2009

Forum Communication in association with The Ashok hotel will be presenting Women-The Shakti, an initiative to promote young and talented female artists to perform on a big platform. Scheduled for Thursday, 26th March at Ashok Theatre, the program will showcase spectacular performances by given by renowned artists like Niharika Safaya, Anishree Sharma, Hanish Sharma and Bharathi. They will present the Indian classical dance forms like Kuchipudi, Bhartnatayam and Chao, depicting the power and sanctity of woman. Women The Shakti salutes and pays tribute to all those women who dare to dream and work hard to fulfill them. The concept is generated to promote many talented artists practicing any dance form and disciples of different gurus. It presents their talent and grace with great pleasure. Just like different flowers in garden, the program has kept different beauty of these dance form to provide different effect and flavor in the show. The shastras have classified the basic mental status of woman, the Nayika, into 8 types, Ashtanayika bhavas. These divisions portray the heroine in different situations express different feelings, sentiments and reactions. The whole show will take the audience back to old century and would get its audience reintroduced to character like radha, Draupadi, saraswati, parvati and would also have our modern women.
