Spectacular Fireworks and Free Family Fun on July 4
“We shall go wild with fireworks...And they will plunge into the sky and shatter the darkness."
― Natsuki Takaya
Entertainment, family activities, and great fireworks highlight the City of Arvada's annual Fourth of July celebration of the Spirit of America on Wednesday, July 4 at the Lutz/Stenger Complex, W. 58th Avenue and Oak St. in Arvada
The festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex as the Arvada Festivals Commission, the City of Arvada, KOOL 105 Radio and Apex Park and Recreation District partner to bring you a day of free family fun to celebrate our Nation’s Birthday featuring a classic car show, a military display, live music, family entertainment, kid’s amusements, great food and a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display. The complex is located at 58th and Oak Street in Arvada.
Music is provided by the legendary KOOL 105 Radio, featuring classic rock hits from the 60’s to the 90’s. This year’s entertainment will play all afternoon including DJ music and a live band.
The fireworks display begins at about 9:00 p.m. and the colorful blasts of light will dance to the KOOL 105 simulcast music medley especially choreographed to a collection of great oldies and patriotic music.
“Arvada’s fireworks show is over thirty years old,” event coordinator Nancy Bentzen says. “First and foremost, we provide a free fun family event and a safe way to view fireworks and celebrate our nation’s Independence Day."
