Pradarshak presents, a solo exhibition by upcoming artist Amol Pawar from Pune. Amol Pawar debuted with his first solo exhibition at Pradarshak in 2006. Three years and two solo shows later, the young artist continues to anoint his canvases with an element of surprise. While his technique and rendition is steadily maturing, his selection of subject is ubiquitous to say the least! This time he focuses on the sheer pleasure of enjoying a smoke or a drink; hence the title "Drinking -Smoke". The artist acknowledges the habit as hazardous but is intrigued by the drunken state of stupor or the emotional upheaval that a smoker experiences as he lets out ringlets of black soot into thin air The medium is once again acrylic on canvas. The chosen palette is black-n-white as Pawar feels these colours best depict the depth of addiction. A few colourful canvases in his typical style are also included. The show is predominantly in miniature format with the majority of canvases just 12"x12" in size. A beautiful show! Not to be missed. Contact: 26462681/ 9820460587.
