Speakers will include:
Crate Productions - Chris Reynolds, Former Producer of this small awarding winning theatre company will discuss their final performance ‘Fort York’ including the nuts and bolts behind producing a large scale site-specific production and how to engage non-traditional audiences in alternative venues. Crate's inaugural show was the 2004 sold-out hit Tape, extended four times during its Dora Award-nominated run in a hotel room at the Gladstone
David Suzuki Foundation & Forest Ethics – Dr. Faisal Moola, Science Director of the David Suzuki Foundation and Catharine Grant from Forest Ethics will discuss their innovative partnerships and use of social media created for the ‘Save the Bou’ campaign that is successfully raising awareness on the plight of Ontario’s caribou.
Praxis Theatre - Director Michael Wheeler & Board member Bridget MacIntosh
will discuss how their theatre company used inventive, fun and affordable
fundraising strategies to raise donations for their organizations shows
and activities.
ARTSMASH! is one of the first events of its kind to bring together the arts
with different sectors in an environment that encourages discussion,
sharing best practices and original ideas in a fun informal setting.
The Emerging Arts Professional Network www.eapnetwork.ca is a not-for-profit and community network of over 3,000 arts administrators, managers and artists at the start of their careers from across Canada. The EAP Network provides an online community network, career resource, subsidized management services and informal professional development opportunities for arts administrators, managers and artists.
