Artrageous on Clark Street in Lincoln Park (CSLP) is calling all artists to join our spring art contest. Artrageous is the cornerstone of an inaugural multidimensional event designed to showcase local talent and the many extraordinary businesses on Clark Street in Lincoln Park. The goal is to attract food-music-art enthusiasts to celebrate spring and indulge their love of all things food-music-art at this vibrant community event. Artrageous includes a dinner crawl in May and the main event on May 5 hosts live art, live music, food samplings, community art projects and more!
The art element will feature a juried competition and public voting of works on display. The artist entry fee is $20 for up to two pieces and $40 for three to five pieces submitted. Checks should be made payable to Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce and submitted with the Artist Application which can be downloaded at VisitClarkStreet.com. Participation is open to Chicago-area artists 18 years of age or older. The complete list of rules is available at VisitClarkStreet.com.
The contest invites artists to submit original works in varying disciplines and media to our jury for selection. Those pieces accepted for participation will spring up in places on display at a number of local retail venues and storefronts along Clark Street (between Armitage and Diversey) and on Diversey Parkway (between Orchard and Lakeview). Lincoln Park residents and the general public will view the exhibited works and actively participate in voting for their favorites.
Any artist with questions or experiencing difficulties in accessing the competition application online is welcome to call the Big Buzz Idea Group office (event partner) at 847.677.8273. Please consult the application for full contest rules.
