WHAT: Artrageous on Clark Street in Lincoln Park (CSLP) is an inaugural multi-dimensional event scheduled to transform the neighborhood into a bustling hub of pop-up art exhibits, cooking demonstrations, live music, entertainment, and special attractions. This FREE event showcases talented local artists, neighborhood restaurants and the many extraordinary businesses on Clark Street in Lincoln Park. On Saturday, May 5, 2012, Chicago-area food, art and music enthusiasts are invited to join in on this full-day celebration of Spring, art, music, and food.
On that Saturday, after a spirited two-week art competition, a diverse group of talented artists will converge on Clark Street in Lincoln Park to demonstrate methods from sculpture to painting to Artrageous attendees. The jam-packed all-day line-up touts some of Chicago’s most well-known art organizations!

10 a.m. – “Making Glass Beads on a Torch” hosted by Lillstreet Art Center
11 a.m. – “The A to Z’s of Acrylics” hosted by Bottle & Bottega
12 p.m. – “iPhonography - Turn Your Phone into an Awesome Creative Photography Tool” hosted by Chicago Photography Center
1 p.m. – “Giants in the Park” hosted by Krista August
2 p.m. – “Your Home is Your Masterpiece: Inspiring DIY Home Décor Ideas with Katie Keller of Graceful Works” hosted by Graceful Works
3 p.m. –“Needle Felting Workshop” hosted by Sister-Arts Studio
4 p.m. – “Jill King and Artists Seeds” hosted by Jill King
Move from one exciting and informative presentation to the next! Between stops, enjoy pop-up art galleries, live music, a community art project, cooking demonstrations and retailer presentations.
Throughout May 5, Clark Street and Diversey Parkway sidewalks will transform into temporary studios – creative zones – where artists will produce masterpieces before attendees’ eyes!

WHERE: Art demonstrations will take place at 2532 N. Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614. Other activities throughout May 5 will take place on Clark Street between Armitage and Diversey and on Diversey Parkway between Orchard and Lakeview.
