Born in Chbanieh, Lebanon, in 1967, Walid Raad lives and works in Beirut and New York. His recent one-person exhibitions include shows at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid (2009), Fondazione Antonio Ratti, Como, Italy (2009), Migros Museum fur Gegenwartskunst, Zurich (2007) and The Kitchen, New York (2006).
