Artist Spotlight Lecture Series- Dennis Kemmerer June 26, 2010

Artist Dennis Kemmerer will discuss work in Carriers, Panels, and Culm Piles, currently on display at K Space Contemporary. Light reception will follow.

Much of the work in this exhibition relies on the beauty of wood by incorporating actual shipping pallets and wood veneer. However, it isn’t all about wood. Kemmerer has a uses a color palette drawn from early Renaissance artists combined with theories of Abstract Expressionism.

Kemmerer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and teacher certification from Corpus Christi State University and Master of Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Kemmerer resides in Corpus Christi with his wife Rhonda and their three pets, Duchess, Del, and Mar.
