Artist Reception for Nocturne: Solo Show of Paintings by Elise Morris September 4, 2009

Opening reception for the solo show of new works by Oakland based painter Elise Morris. Titled Nocturne, this new body of work is inspired by subtle nighttime changes in nature.

The paintings on canvas and paper reflect the artist's eye for unexpected beauty. This body of work exudes a sophisticated color palette, made up of many layers of gauzy color building the surface of each work.

This much anticipated new body of work follows Morris' fist solo show at the gallery in 2007.

Join the artist in an opening reception, as part of downtown Palo Alto's First Friday Art Walk.
