Artist Lecture: An Intuitive Search of my Ancestors June 19, 2010

Artist Karen Hampton will examine how she uses textiles to document and tell the stories of her ancestors journey from Spanish Florida in the mid-1700's through the Caribbean, New York, Pennsylvania and New England. Techniques covered include weaving, dyeing, printmaking and embroidery. She will provide images of her work and speak to her creative process.
