This powerful exhibition is selected from the work of reportorial artist Aggie Kenny, who was compelled to visit the World Trade Center Recovery Operation in the spring of 2002, sketchbook in hand. Kenny's poignant sketches and watercolors depict first responders selflessly at work in the clean up and recovery efforts. The works are a uniquely original first-person view of the responder's efforts in both lower Manhattan and the Fresh Kills Landfill, capturing both the desolate nature of the unfolding disaster and the sacrifices made by the volunteers.
