Jan Kosnick of Enchanted Glass Designs
Jan is a native New Mexican, with relatives dating back to Coronado expedition. Jan has always had a deep love for its rugged mountains, the serenity of the Rio Grande Valley, the beauty of the desert in bloom, and the rich cultures of its people.
As a child she recalls her curiosity about the "haze" surrounding the mountains and the desert; and her father describing it as "part of our enchantment".
Jan expresses that vision and love of its rugged mountains; "Land of Enchantment" through a media that combines a unique utilization of carefully selected stained glass, crystals, polished rock, marbles and metallic foil.
A graduate of New Mexico State university in Horticulture, she pursued both her love of plants and art to ascertain her training in Land scape Design. Her desire to express these two passions has led her to create and capture her unique visions of the beatury of the New Mexico landscape and many flowering plants, animals and birds....
Starting out with an idea for creating beautiful stained glass bird baths (hence-forth called (BirdSpas) her creativity grew to include decorative art work in various settings including permanent wall designs with local home builders and decorative art peices with galleries and craft stores across the state.
Jan welcomes the opportunity for custom designs and always looks forward to a challenge.
