The permanent collection is the great pride of the Block Museum and an invaluable resource at Northwestern University. Focused on culturally significant and technologically innovative works on paper, the collection gives the Block distinction amongst the many cultural institutions in the Chicago area and the Midwest. Presenting compelling works by the likes of Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione, Mary Cassatt, and Ed Paschke, this exhibition also gives insight into the Block's role as a steward of important artworks.
