Art of the Decorative Table: Dow Museum of Historic Houses October 20, 2007

The Kenneth W. Dow Museum of Historic Houses in St. Augustine Florida will present a fund raiser titled: The Art of the Decorative Table. A cocktail party to celebrate our museums seventh anniversary, and raise funds to maintain our nine historic houses, dating from 1790 to 1910, will be held on Saturday October 20th from 5 9 PM, at The Kenneth W. Dow Museum of Historic Houses, 149 Cordova Street in St. Augustine Florida. Admission of $50.00 per person will include the elegant cocktail party with scrumptious hors doeuvres, live music, informative speakers, and a cash bar. The feature of this event will be twenty designer table settings by noted local hostesses and designers displayed throughout the historic houses. These themed designer tables will focus on how to create a special and attractive tablescape using the artful mix of affordable and collectible antiques as well as treasured family heirlooms. With the holidays right around the corner these beautiful displays will make dining rooms once more desirable places where families can come together before an elegant and welcoming table. Old fashion entertaining for new fashion times!
