Art of the Book: Bookbinding with Rhiannon Alpers April 29, 2010

In conjunction with the exhibition Our Struggle: Responding to Mein Kampf, which features the genre of the “altered book,” the Museum has joined with some of the best book and paper artists in the city to give beginners a chance to explore this creative field.

In this third of three classes, you will become familiar with the fundamentals of several bookbinding techniques, as well as the materials and tools fundamental to both traditional and invented approached to this ancient art.
