Art of Fashion August 29, 2009

The Timken Museum of Art and Fashion Careers College will host the second annual “Art of Fashion” at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 29. Guests will see modern interpretations of costumes worn in 12 European masterpieces from the permanent collection of paintings at the Timken Museum of Art. Models will stand ‘in tableaux’ showing the costumes in front of the works of art. Informal modeling will also take place throughout the evening. Guests will enjoy one complimentary signature cocktail, a no host bar and light hors d’oeuvres with ticket purchase. Event Chair is Patricia O’Connor, CEO and founder of Fashion Careers College. Honorary Chair is London Fashion Design Icon Zandra Rhodes. Cost is $75. A limited number of student tickets are available for $25. Proceeds will benefit Timken Museum of Art education programs.
