Art In Bayfront Park Art Fair August 18, 2012

Located in heart of Duluth's downtown, Bayfront Park hosts Art In Bayfront Park. This perfect location hosts the area's largest art fair, Art In Bayfront Park Art Fair. on Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Art in Bayfront Park Art Fair is a free, two-day fine art festival showcasing over 180 gallery quality artists and entertainers from all across the United States. The artists display stunning works in a large variety of mediums, including painting and drawing, photography, jewelry, fiber, glass, wood, music, sculpture and more! There was a grueling jury process for each of the artists to go through to be accepted into the Art in Bayfront Park art fair and only the finest artists are asked to participate. Artists will not only sell their art at the art fair, they will also be judged. An award ceremony will take place at 3:00 on Saturday. Eight ‘first place’ awards will be given in the following categories: Clay/Ceramics, Fiber, Jewelry, Wood, Glass, Photography, Sculpture, and Painting/ Drawings. The winners of these first place awards will have their blue ribbons displayed on their booths after the ceremony. A “Best in Show” award and trophy will go an overall winner. Free entertainment is performed on Bayfront Park's main stage throughout the day. Entertainers consists of everything from dancers and bands to a local Miss Bayfront pageant talents and awards ceremonies.
Admission is free to the public. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Food vendors range from mini-donuts, oriental Food, pork and beef sandwiches, and kettle corn to Ice Cream, frozen treats and Pepsi products.

Kid's activities range from a kids corner with bouncing tents, an interactive kids art work station and meeting the local Miss Bayfront Contestants and Queens.
