The year is 1886. Paul Cezanne leaves Paris forever to return to the solitude of his native Provence… the year Vincent van Gogh arrives in Paris from his native Holland. It is upon these two seminal artists that this five-week course will focus. The class will examine their art, the meaning of art in their lives, and the possible relationship between their burdened personalities and the art they produced.
