Art From the Heart-Sacred Art of the Himalayas February 13, 2008

The Monkey & The Rat is hosting a sacred Himalayan art show called "Art From the Heart" next week. The location is 131 NW 2nd Ave Portland on February 13th at 7pm. The show will include about 30 pieces of Hindu and Buddhist art from Nepal & Tibet. Some of the proceeds will go to Lama Wagndu's monastery in Kathmandu and to a school for orphans in Western Nepal, managed by Lama Tenzin Norbu. The art's curator will be visiting from Nepal-he has also done a lot of work with Tibetan refugee camps in Western Nepal and will speak about the subject. I hope you can make it and we encourage all to come and enjoy. It will be a relaxed celebration with friends, refreshments, and sacred art.
