Art for AIDS 2009 August 28, 2009

The 13th annual Art for AIDS 2009 will take place at San Francisco’s premiere auction house, Bonhams & Butterfields, on Friday, August 28, 2009.

Art for AIDS has consistently attracted renowned artists such as Richard Avedon, Annie Leibowitz, Frank Lobdell, Jay DeFeo, Rex Ray, Jock Sturges and Deborah Oropallo, along with works from prominent galleries: Hackett-Freedman Gallery, ArtHaus, Micaela Gallery, Braunstein/Quay Gallery, Brian Gross Fine Art, and California Modern Gallery.

The auction is closely vetted and carefully selected. This year’s jury is comprised of a number of critics, artists, collectors and gallery owners, including Charles Anselmo, James Bacchi, DeWitt Cheng, and Micaela Van Zwoll.
