I come from an army background and hail from a lovely hill station "Kodagu"in Karnataka.I am married to an army officer and blessed with 2 handsome sons.
My journey towards art was a gradual process as I lived a life of dabbling in various professions and travelling around our country by virtue of being married to the "Olive green". I , have always been inclined and interested towards art, besides also successfully running and owning a Play school and boutique.However, art was where my true feelings were attached. Painting on canvas was a step I consciously took in the year 2010, which to me will always be a surreal and an enriching experience. I have been one who was always fascinated by horses from the days of my childhood. The grace, power but yet gentle nature of the animal is a great inspiration to me. To be able to re-create memories and my fascination for horses on canvas was a dream come true and has been the most satisfying journey.I continued to pursue this as just a passion, until, I met Mr.Kaali Sudheer,Curator,Muse-The Art Gallery who saw my works and encouraged me to further this talent and expose it to other art and equine lovers. I have since been passionately painting my love for equines and have been able to achieve all this, only because of the support and encouragement from my family, friends and well wishers. I do hope, "Art- De - Konj" my debut art show is will received and would garner interest in the art and equine fraternity of the twin cities. Horse lovers and equine artists will recognise the common themes in these limited editions on view,whether it be the mystifying way horses react to mundane things or their pure joy at being free. These works reflect the wild , wonderful world of horses.
