Camille Utterback is a pioneering new media artist whose interactive installations and reactive sculptures have received world-wide acclaim. Her work explores the aesthetic and experiential possibilities of linking computational systems to human movement—focusing attention on the continued relevance and richness of the body in our technologically-mediated world. In addition to an extensive international exhibit history, Utterback’s recent honours include a Transmediale International Media Art Festival Award (2005) and a Rockefeller Foundation New Media Fellowship (2002). In 2004, she was awarded a US patent for the video tracking system she developed as a research fellow at New York University.
