Art Center Advisory Committee to Hold Meeting October 30, 2006

A meeting to discuss the opening of a new art center at 164 Division St. will be held Monday, Oct. 30 beginning at 7 p.m. at 164 Division Street, 8th floor.

The City of Elgin and the Cultural Arts Commission will open the Arts Center in early January and are looking for interested artists and performing groups to participate.
“The meeting will address a gala opening in January and we’re looking for performance groups to put together a 10 to 15 minute piece,” said Sylvia Grady, chairman of the Cultural Arts Commission.
