Students will look at the 'Pop Art' movement and its effect on contemporary graphic design and visual art. Students will create artworks inspired by ordinary things, mass media and popular culture as a method of providing a visual, social comment. Students will explore techniques and mediums such as; stenciling, collage, mixed media, advertising comic strips and film. Students will reference the works of Roy Lichtenstein, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. Details of this event may be subject to change.
