Feed the art side of your brain at Info-Topia, OMA’s ‘Art After Dark’. The Ancient Gallery will present Total Information Awareness, an interactive black light installation assembled from mass-produced cultural icons on view in our Groves Gallery. In this mystical black light room you can experience avant-garde dance and acro-yoga performers in UV reactive costumes, and body models air brushed in glow in the dark designs. Participate in the UV reactive group art project, or have your body adorned by body painting artist Anh Pham. Listen to the techno-fusion funk beats of dual DJ’s Michael Scott & Gato Blanco while sampling fine handcrafted beer in San Diego by The Lost Abbey Brewery or wine tasting from PRP Wine International Inc. Sushi delights provided by Miso Harney and scrumptious hors d’oeuvres from Santino’s Pizza. Exhibitions on view: Industrial Alchemy: John Zabrucky, Plastic Fantastic Allison Renshaw, Discoveries in Dystopia: Gregg Brotherton, and permanent collection.
Admission to Art After Dark is $25, or $20 for OMA members and includes art, music, performances, and complimentary refreshments.
