Frankenplants Manipulation the genetics of plants hasn't always been as sophisticated as it is today, but the consequences of making a mistake have always been great. Look at the history and consequences of mankind's genetic manipulation by specimens represented at the Arboretum. The Arboretum's collection of over 18,000 accessioned plants is roughly divided into five geographic sections, two greenhouses, and several other specialty collections and exhibits. Join Arboretum Botanical Information Consultant Frank McDonough on an exploration around the grounds to learn more about our fascinating and extensive collections. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. This class is held in the garden, and requires some walking throughout the collections.
