Armed Forces Day Concert June 29, 2013

The Royal British Legion Ilminster Branch have engaged the HMS Heron Volunteer Naval Band based at RNAS Yeovilton to play at the Minster Church of St Mary, Ilminster in celebration of Armed Forces Day. The concert will also raise money for the Battle Back Centre at Lilleshall. The Royal British Legion has committed £27 million to provide and operate the Battle Back Centre as part of the Defence Recovery Capability, a MoD-led initiative delivered in partnership with Help for Heroes alongside other Service charities and agencies. It is a very large sum of money for a very important project that benefits all three Services. The concert will be in two 50 minute sessions with a 30 minute interval for refreshments. Refreshments for the 200 guests will comprise canápes and a glass of wine or soft drink. Admission will be by ticket only (£15 each). Tickets will go on sale on 2 April 2013.
