Armand Hirsch Quartet June 24, 2009

Young, up-and-coming guitarist Armand Hirsch leads this quartet. Multi-instrumental, Armand began his formal music training at age 5 as a drum student of renowned jazz drummer Eddie Locke and made his drumming debut at NYC club The Bitter End as a 12-year old. Beginning his guitar studies in middle school, Armand has studied with a virtual "who's who" of jazz greats. A touring guitarist since the age of 14, Armand has performed at legendary jazz festivals. He accomplished all of this by the young age of 18. He is also a teacher of drums and guitar to private students, and is an accomplished pianist, bassist, recording technician and composer/arranger.
