Arkansas Cherokees Exhibit November 12, 2006

Before the Trail of Tears, a group of Cherokees known as the Old Settlers voluntarily relocated in Northwestern Arkansas from 1817 to 1828. This exhibit will focus on the politics leading up to the move and their eventual reunification with the remainder of the tribe.
