The two-day conference will feature a traditional social gathering, educational workshops, elder recognition ceremony, senior prom and keynote address from Ms. Kathy Greenlee, assistant secretary for aging at the Administration for Community Living.
The educational workshops will seek to educate Native American elders on healthy lifestyle choices and provide products and services that promote a better overall well-being. Resources will include dozens of businesses in the Valley, including telecommunications provider Arizona Relay Service, who will provide information about various products and their services. Over 600 are expected to attend this community celebration.
