Arizona Kids Compete for Chance to Be a Model for a Year in "Faces of Urban Kidz Model Search Contest on September 17th September 17, 2009

Do your kids love to look great, have fun, and get their pictures taken? Do they have that extra degree of charm, mixed with a great personality? If so, Scottsdale’s premier retailer for fashion forward kids is looking for them! Urban Kidz, Scottsdale’s hippest kid’s boutique, is searching for children of all ages to become the newest “Faces of Urban Kidz” for the upcoming year.

“We love showing real kids in our advertising because that’s what we’re about,” says Lila Metcalf, owner of Urban Kidz.

Boys and girls of all ages, from infant to age 14, are encouraged to enter the contest, and no modeling experience is necessary.

To enter the contest, parents and children must attend the Model Search First Round Judging Event at Urban Kidz on September 17th, 2009, from 12:00 PM- 4:00 PM.

Parents and children must bring the completed model application and release packet, and a recent photo (will not be returned) to meet with the judges. Model application packets can be picked up at Urban Kidz or downloaded from the website at http://www.urbankidzwear.com.

September 17th is the only date that contest entries will be accepted. No make-up date is available. No purchase is necessary to enter.

The judges will then make their determination of semi- finalists on or before September 29th, 2009, and all semi-finalists will be notified by telephone.

Semi-finalists will then go on to the Final Round where they will have their pictures taken by former fashion model turned professional photographer, Heather Dillon, of Heather Dillon Photography (http://www.HeatherDillonPhotography.com) and hair styling by Scottsdale’s famous La Lou Salon (http://www.lalousalon.com). The photos will be then be posted online at http://www.urbankidzwear.com where the public will vote for the “Faces of Urban Kidz.”

To win, the one female & one male child in each age category (infant, toddler, 4-6X, and 7-14) with the MOST votes will be declared the new “Faces or Urban Kidz” model search winners for 2009.

The winner(s) will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to Urban Kidz, a complete hairstyle makeover, and a professional photo shoot and photos; a total prize package valued at $500. In addition, winners get the opportunity to be showcased in print and on-line advertising, formal fashion shows, web media and more. Last year’s winners were featured News 12, in Raising Arizona Kids, on the Urban Kidz website and more!
