Ari Shaffir is coming back home for the first time as a headliner and Riot Act Comedy Club will be the spot May 10th -12th. Ari grew up in Kemp Mill, Md but moved to Los Angeles to pursue his love of comedy. He is often the house MC at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, California and has featured on two National Lampoon DVDs, Lost Reality and Lost Reality 2. Amongst other work, Ari is probably most well known for a series of comedy works entitled The Amazing Racist (the title is a play on that of reality television show The Amazing Race). Ari Shaffir plays the eponymous title character in the works. In these ironic shorts the Amazing Racist is seen acting in a manner which is designed to be overtly racist.
Apart from his numerous national televisions commercials, you might have seen Ari doing standup on SiTV's Latino Laugh Festival, and on the AOL Comedy Showcase or from his acting stints on TBS's "Minding the Store" and ESPN Classic's "Cheap Seats."
Lately he's been on the road opening for Fear Factor's Joe Rogan and has begun making a splash at clubs around the country.
His comedy is pretty filthy, so make sure you leave your hang ups at the door and get ready to have a great time.
