Networking is a vital part of our ability to succeed in our professional and personal life. Social networking is on fire, but nothing beats face-to-face networking.

During our November program, not only will you gain additional insight into effective networking, but you will have an opportunity to network with others in the room, in both a structured format as well during an open networking segment of the program.

Speaker Bio : Mr. Walker received his B.S. in Plastics Engineering Technology from Ferris State University in Big Rapids Michigan in 1988. Since then he has held a variety of Corporate Engineering positions in the Automotive Industry.

During his many years as a Research and Development Engineer he honed his creative ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, resulting in his being named on 6 patents.

In the last three years, Dan has refined his networking methodology to increase efficiency and reduce wasted time and effort. He bases much of his sytem on lessons from "Book Yourself Solid" by Michael Port. Dan has developed his three step process starting with the initial engagement at a networking event through the initial conversation and concluding in a closed sale or strategic relationship. As a Six Sigma Black Belt he demonstrated the ability to utilize Six Sigma tools and methods. Over the 20 years of his professional life he developed valuable skills in team leadership and team problem solving. Before the end of his corporate life Dan was invited to become a Six Sigma instructor in both DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Implement Control) and DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) methodologies by a major automotive supplier. During this time he developed specialties in a process known as VOC (Voice Of Customer) as well as honing his skills in team development.
