This is a wonderful way to experience the history of railroading in America. Start at the historic Arcade Station and, while you wait for the train, check out the exhibits. See old switch locks, antique railroad lanterns, original photographs and more. But don't get too caught up; when you hear "All Aboard," make your way to the train for a 14-mile ride to Curriers and back on restored Boonton passenger coaches from the 1920s. Take in the countryside and farmlands that, with a few minor exceptions, haven't changed much since the 1880s. On the return trip, ride on the open gondola, which now sits directly in front of the steam engine. This is an impossible-to-beat old time locomotive experience.
