Ara Dance Studio 21st Annual Dance Concert January 17, 2010

Ara Dance Studio was established in 1987 in Los Angeles, California under the direction of Ara Melkonian with a mission to preserve and promote the Armenian heritage and cultural roots. Today, Ara Dance Studio has a strong and vibrant group of dancers that are the stepping stone of Ara's vision.

Ara Melkonian has been presented at Stanford, UCLA, UC Berkley, UCI, Pepperdine, The Orange County Performing Arts Center, Sipan Song & Dance Ensemble, The Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Music Center, Armenian Musical Awards and TheStaples Center and many Armenian cultural events.

Ara Dance Studio has a diverse teaching repertoire, from traditional Armenian to Ballet, Russian, Persian, Flamenco, Tap, Jazz , Hip Hop , Salsa , Cha-Cha, Rumba, modern and creative dancing. The students are taught techniques in Ballet, Modern, Ballroom and traditional Folk dances from around the world.
