APPLEBEE’S NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL & BAR SET TO OPEN FIFTH BROOKLYN LOCATION AT ATLANTIC TERMINAL May 3, 2010

Apple-Metro, Inc. opens its newest Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar on Monday, May 3rd at Atlantic Terminal, located on the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in the Atlantic Center Mall in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, NY. The opening of this new Applebee’s marks Apple-Metro’s fifth Brooklyn location and the first of four locations set to open this year. Apple-Metro, the New York Metro Area Applebee’s franchisee, recently opened the 2,000th Applebee’s in the U.S., located in Harlem.

All proceeds from the Applebee’s Atlantic Terminal VIP Opening Party – which will take place on Saturday, May 1st from 6:30pm to 9:30pm – will be donated to Camp Brooklyn. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will be on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon at approximately 7:15pm on Saturday evening.

“It’s really incredible that Apple-Metro has been able to remain strong and continue growing throughout the tough economy. Not everyone has been so fortunate, which is why it’s so important for us to give back to the community with every Applebee’s we open. The Atlantic Terminal Applebee’s will create about 175 jobs for our new neighbors and we are donating 100% of proceeds from our VIP Opening Party to Camp Brooklyn,” explained Zane Tankel, owner of the restaurant and CEO of Apple-Metro, Inc.

Not only does this sit-down, casual dining restaurant in Brooklyn’s Atlantic Terminal offer a comfortable environment for up to 250 guests to enjoy their food, this location will also offer free Wi-Fi and Personal Viewing Systems, enabling guests to hear what they are watching on Applebee’s Flat Screen TVs. The opening of this new Applebee’s marks Apple-Metro’s fifth Brooklyn Area location, joining Downtown Brooklyn, Bed-Stuyvesant, Sheepshead Bay and Triangle Junction.

Applebee’s Atlantic Terminal will open to the public officially for lunch at 11am on Monday, May 3rd. The restaurant’s regular business hours will be Sunday through Thursday, from 11am to midnight, and Friday and Saturday, from 11am to 1am. To-go service will be available to the community.
