Apple-Metro, Inc. opens its 29th Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar on August 10, 2009 at Fordham Plaza, adjacent to Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. The opening of this new Applebee’s marks Apple-Metro’s first of three locations set to open this year. Another Bronx Applebee’s will open at the end of August in the Bronx Terminal Market, while a Harlem Applebee’s is set to open in November.
All proceeds from the VIP Opening Party – which will take place on Saturday, August 8 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm – will be donated to the Bronx Children’s Museum. Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz, Jr., will be on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon on Saturday evening.
“With the opening of our Fordham Plaza location, Applebee’s will be giving back to the community by creating jobs and also by donating 100% of proceeds from our VIP Opening Party to the Bronx Children’s Museum,” explained Zane Tankel, owner of the restaurant and CEO of Apple-Metro, Inc.
Not only does this sit-down, casual dining restaurant in the Bronx’s Fordham Plaza offer a comfortable environment for almost 300 guests to enjoy their food, this location will also offer free Wi-Fi and Personal Viewing Systems, enabling guests to hear what they are watching on Applebee’s Flat Screen TVs.
Applebee’s Fordham Plaza will open to the public officially for lunch at 11am on Monday, August 10. The restaurant’s regular business hours will be Monday through Thursday, from 11am to 1am; Friday and Saturday, from 11am to 2am; and Sunday from 11am to midnight. To-go service will be available to the community.
In this uncertain economic environment, Apple-Metro, Inc. is confident that their continued growth will be met with positive reaction and results with plans to open additional restaurants throughout 2009 and beyond.
