The Jazz Age or The Roaring 20s has been described as the “anything goes” era that emerged in America after World War I. Jazz music blossomed, the fashion was flamboyant, and the flapper defined modern womanhood. Ladies were apparelled in dresses with extravagant sequins, beaded, and fringing patterns. Elbow-length gloves, cloches, and pearl necklaces were the accessories of choice for women. Men were outfitted in suits and blazers. Silk scarves, suspenders, and top hats were the usual accompaniments.
The second annual Harlem Nights affair will be taking place Saturday December 12, 2009 at Gregory's restaurant. Consider taking advantage of the early bird advance ticket specials.
