The Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL) will hold its first opening reception of the 2007-2008 season from 5 to 7 pm Saturday, October 13th, 2007 at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW), 545 7th Street SE. The theme of this juried show and sale is “Anything Goes.” The public is invited to the reception to meet the CHAL artists and hear the judge’s talk. Light refreshments will be served. The show runs through November 3, 2007.
Professor Clifford Chieffo is the Judge for “Anything Goes.” He is Emeritus Distinguished Research Professor of Art at Georgetown University and is an internationally known artist, author and lecturer.

CHAL is a visual arts organization which presents seven juried shows of members’ work annually in all media as well as a special sale of smaller works in December. CHAL provides artists with opportunities to exhibit and sell their work; support artists' growth; provides opportunities for artists to meet other artists and arts professionals, offers venues for artists to interact with the community at-large, showcases and promotes the work of area artists; educates the public about the value of the arts and artists to the Capitol Hill community and beyond.
