As part of a year-long Fifth Anniversary celebration and in honor of October’s National Italian American Heritage Month, Antonietta’s Bar & Restaurant is presenting its Take Five Evening of Italian Wine-Tasting and Culture on Thursday, October 28 at 6:00. On this evening, the restaurant will offer a sampling of fine wine, food, culture and language from three native Italians for only $5.00 per person. Guests will learn key cultural aspects of Italy, along with five essential Italian phrases from Rowan University Italian professor Anna Lisa Russo, a native of Palermo, Sicily. While absorbing Italian culture, patrons will taste and learn about five wines, specially chosen for the evening by Vittorio Vettori, Fine Wine Manager, Mid-Atlantic Region, for Banfi Vintners. Vettori, who hails from Venice, has an Italian college degree in Chemical Analysis, and is a member of the Society of Wine Educators. With their wine, guests will enjoy five homemade southern Italian appetizers prepared by Chef Antonietta Romano, a native of Avellino, in Southern Italy. Attendees will also enter a drawing to win one of five prizes. RSVP’s are requested by October 26 at 856-312-9000. The restaurant provides ample parking and is located at 212 North Black Horse Pike and 3rd Avenue in Runnemede.
