4th of July Celebration
Saturday July 4, 2009
Along The Historic Downtown Waterfront
Antioch, CA
2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
As it has for the past decade, the Antioch Rivertown Business District will again welcome thousands of visitors to its annual Antioch Fourth of July Celebration which features the Arts and Crafts, a Show & Shine Car Show, the famous Hometown Parade, and a Fireworks Extravaganza.
Antioch is a growing community located in Contra Costa County, and has the gift of being the "Gateway to the Delta." the point where the Sacramento and the San Joaquin Rivers come together and continue on to the Pacific Ocean.
Antioch has always been a city of homes and families. Its historic downtown is filled with examples of Victorian, Spanish and early American architecture. Today, traditional single family homes compete for buyers with condominiums, townhomes and planned communities. Antioch has something for everyone.
The annual Fourth of July Parade & Celebration appeals to people of all ages and interests. The event is in its 11th year and is known all over the Bay Area to have one of the best fireworks shows in Northern California. This is a great community event, with its entertainment stages, delicious foods and great atmosphere.
