Annual Openhousenewyork Weekend at Fort Tryon Park October 9, 2010

For the second year, Fort Tryon Park is participating in Annual openhousenewyork Weekend by offering guided tours of Fort Tryon Cottage and the Heather Garden. Although the garden is open to the public 365 days a year, we offer special tours on this special weekend.  The cottage is only open to the public on openhousenewyork weekend. Visitors can explore the 1908 structure that began as the gatekeeper's cottage for the C.K.G. Billings estate.  The estate occupied a portion of the land that now comprises Fort Tryon Park.Heather Garden - Open all day with Tours at 10, 11:30, 1; & 2:30Cottage Tours - First Come/First Served Tours from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
