Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands (2011) December 9, 2011

The Annual Kaleidoscope of Bands concert recognizes the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War with music that has special significance in this country’s history.

Did you know that Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the poem, "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" right at the height of the Civil War? Have you ever heard the story behind the "Battle Hymn of the Republic?"

Join us as we hear from all the concert bands at the University of Maryland.
