Annual Fishing Derby August 1, 2009

Reel in some cash at the Annual Fishing Derby Presented by Babich and Associates Financial Services, Inc. in partnership with the Downers Grove Park District. Bring the whole family and enjoy free raffles, good times and big fish.

There's something a little different about the Derby this year...three fish will bring a special windfall to the anglers who catch them! Separate $300, $200 and $100 checks will be awarded on site by Peter Babich for those who catch the designated tagged fish. Additional prizes for the Fishing Derby will be awarded to the person who catches the shortest and longest fish in each age group.

A fishing license is required for participants 16 years and up. Licenses can be purchased at K-Mart, Wal-Mart or Sportmart. Register at Barth Pond on the day of the derby.

The Downers Grove Moose Rod and Gun Club also co-sponsor this event.
