Anne Carson Does Euripides March 29, 2004

Acclaimed poet Anne Carson?s translation of Sophocles? Electra, directed by Kathryn Walker, was performed at the Y to great acclaim in the spring of 2002. In a new translation made expressly for the Poets? Theatre production, Ms. Carson turns her attention to the sorrows and humiliations of war in Euripides? great play of the Trojan women. The cast for this reading will include Kate Burton, David Straithairn, Mary Beth Hurt and Kathryn Walker. This will be the world premiere of this vibrant and innovative work.
