Animals in Art & Polemic at the Intersection of Christianity & Islam September 27, 2010

Some medieval church floor mosaics in Palestine and Jordan were re-arranged to eliminate depictions of humans and animals. This talk will explore whether this was done as a response to the rise of Islam, or in regards to Christian concerns.
