Dr Glyn Heath, Head of the Prosthetics & Orthotics Directorate, University of Salford will be presenting this lecture from the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Dr Heath works predominantly on the development of improved human prosthetics and orthotics, however, he has now expanded his knowledge to include the treatment of animals. His team have a worldwide reputation and have recently been to China to treat a giant panda.

This presentation will look at the engineering implications of prosthetics and orthotics with regard to both the treatment of humans and animals and will look at some animal case studies, including the
progress of Nui Nui to date, explaining the process by which each were treated.
