Hailed as the most ambitious American play of our time, Angels in America is a magnificent celebration of survival. Through the horror of HIV/Aids in New York City during the 1990’s, we are taken on an emotional rollercoaster ride that encapsulates the essence of what it is to be unique. Tony Kushner’s award winning play explodes with passionate energy as the themes of sexuality; cultural diversity, religion, politics and identify fight their way to the surface.

Drag queens, Mormons, Jews, African-Americans gays and angels offer us a riveting insight into a world that is filled by the fear of an unknown epidemic. Kushner’s cutting wit voices his layered characters resulting in scenes that dramatically fly off the stage. Add to this his innate sense of theatrical magic and you have a work that transcends the physical then lifts the spirit.
