A performing arts professional with over a decade of experience in the art of bellydancing, Angelina Tay has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. As a result of her outstanding body of work, Angelina has earned recognition in the exclusive network of premier professionals with Stanford Who’s Who.

Employing her extraordinary abilities in the arts as well as her sensational stage personality, Angelina specializes in performing professional bellydance shows for a variety of corporate and private events. She also performs at the Blu Jaz Café in the Arabic corner of the city on Bali Lane every Friday night. Trained in the arts of music, dance, and theatre, Angelina began her journey into the performing arts at the age of 7, growing up with a love for Western classical music.

Starting her study of bellydance in 2002, Angelina has frequently traveled to Egypt where she has learned from some of the world’s finest dancers and teachers. She has since become one of the most sought after bellydancers in Singapore, having performed at several prestigious events, including the Singapore Lyric Opera President Charity Gala, the Esplanade Dan:s Festivals, and Qatar Airways launch of Tokyo stopover in Japan. Angelina was even a top ten finalist in the Miss Singapore Universe pageant in 2007.

In addition to her regular performances, Angelina teaches professional belly dance classes and workshops at the Angelina Tay School of Bellydance. With the accompaniment of highly skilled percussionists, she equips her dance students with a comprehensive understanding of the Arabic rhythms while revealing secrets through her incredibly imaginative musical interpretation.
Although she has gained the vast majority of her expertise through her varied independent studies and professional experience, Angelina is also a graduate of the National University of Singapore, where she earned a degree in Theatre Studies and Philosophy, graduating with Honors. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Mass Communications with the Oklahoma City University.
