The American Dance Institute is inviting enthusiastic young children and their families to a free interactive afternoon of dance, crafts and performances. Children will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive Angelina Ballerina story dance with ADI instructors and families can view a short performance by ADI's Youth Ensemble. Activities also include arts and crafts, and a ballet "Petting Zoo," where children can touch and feel real ballet costumes, headpieces, props and shoes. There will be free classes throughout the event for children who can try on real tutus and receive professional instruction at the barre from the institute's top instructors. At the end of the day, children can enter the chance to win a prize basket that includes the Angelina Ballerina storybook used throughout the day's events.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call 301.984.3003 or visit www.americandance.org.
